What is Our Charity Initiative?

The Akshayapatram Food Distribution Program in Southampton is a dedicated initiative aimed at supporting those in need by providing food and extending a helping hand whenever possible.

02

Why the Name – Akshayapatram

The name is drawn from Hindu mythology, refers to the legendary “endless vessel” in the Mahabharata. Given to Draupadi by the Sun God, this magical vessel could provide an endless supply of food, ensuring no one went hungry. Inspired by this, modern Akshayapatra initiatives strive to offer a continuous, sustainable food supply to those in need, especially those facing difficulties in securing meals.
